MAC Warm Neutrals Palette

In my last post I mentioned I had finally finished my degree. (wahoo)
As a gift to show how proud she was, my mother bought me a gift.
This gift was the new MAC Warm Neutrals Palette.
This is basically a pre made MAC palette full of warm, neutral shades which will compliment grey, green and blue eyes.
Obviously I was over the moon to receive this as I was going to purchase it for myself.
The new pre made neutral palettes retail for £65.00 this is insane when you consider the pan eyeshadows on their own cost around £10.00 each now. You are saving a LOT of money by investing in one of these palettes.
However, the shadows are not removable like the regular pro palettes are that you build yourself, you could probably pry them out but I won't be trying anytime soon.

Anyway, I am planning to purchase the Cool Neutrals version as well, and add the both to my freelance kit. This way I will have enough eyeshadows to please most people when starting out freelancing, as well as a convenient way to carry and store them.

I created this simple "deep crease" natural looking makeup for work.
It's a simple defined crease with a smokey lash line and a small winged liner.

I used MAC Soft Ochre paint pot as a base
From the palette I used:
Brule - all over the lid and up to the brow bone to create an even matte base
Sable - as a transition through the crease, I built the colour until I was happy with it
Dance in the Dark - I defined the crease even more with a pencil brush just in the areas I wanted a more intense crease

I went back and forth with blending a lot for this look, and Sable is my new best friend.

I know these photos aren't amazing, I used my phone for now but I will be investing in a new camera nearer the start of my course so I can create a portfolio of the looks I create at makeup school!

Lots of love

Ammy
